The Schererville Bureau of Motors Vehicles branch, one of the most heavily trafficked in Northwest Indiana, is one of xi across the state to be temporarily closed considering of a staffing shortage.

The other branches that temporarily closed include Alexandria, Danville, Evansville North, Indianapolic-Madison Avenue, Greenfield, Nappanee, New Albany, New Haven, Pendleton and Walkerton.
"In selecting the branches for temporary closure, maintaining access to services for Hoosiers was our master focus. Larger or centrally located branches remain open to deliver consistent service availability and best in form client service to all Hoosiers," the BMV said in the statement. "We are working hard to make full open positions and eliminate the demand for temporary closures."

Franchisee Tina St. Aubin opened the culinary and tea shop with a tea bar at 161 Lincolnway in Valparaiso a few years ago. It's a Florida-based company that sells salts, sugars, rubs, blends, and of course, its namesake spices and teas.
"We have loose leaf teas — black teas, green teas, herbal teas, mate teas," she said. "There'due south all different caffeinated and noncaffeinated teas. They have some health benefits. They can be served as refreshing cold teas or a soothing cup of steeped hot tea."
The Spice & Tea Exchange has a tea bar that serves all 50 teas available for purchase in the store, including seasonal varieties.

St. Aubin is making a midlife career change.
"I take a lot of concern owners in my family unit, and now I've become a business owner, too," she said.

The Chop Store salon cut hair for nearly 30 years in Lansing and now has relocated to downtown Schererville.
The full-service hair salon moved to 717 Main St., where it employs almost 25 people.

The Pink Sheep opened in downtown LaPorte a yr ago and is looking at opening a second location in downtown Hobart.
Owner Patricia Pearson started the children'southward boutique almost 10 years ago in Crown Point before moving it to Cedar Lake and finally LaPorte later finding the store of her dreams. The Pink Sheep Bazaar, named after a pet sheep she and her hubby joked about dying pink for Easter that her then 3-year-sometime daughter named Lamb-y, occupies a 2,500-foursquare-foot infinite at 604 Lincolnway.
